Scanning in Connecticut
- Typical projects
- Whole house renovations on older housing stock, Additions and interior reconfigurations, Barn and outbuilding conversions, Small commercial and mixed use
Connecticut is a planned trip rather than a same week one. Travel is quoted up front, and two or three properties in the same town on the same day share that cost, so batching is worth thinking about if you have more than one project in the pipeline.
The building stock
Much of the residential work is on houses old enough to have been altered several times, where the only existing drawings are a permit set from a previous owner, or nothing at all. That is the condition a scan is for. The building gets recorded as it stands, additions and all, and the drawings start from that rather than from an assumption about what is behind the finishes.
What comes back
The same capture package as anywhere else: a measurable 3D walkthrough, ANSI Z765-2021 floor plans, a DWG export, a room and opening report, and 360 imagery. Drafted plans, elevations, and 3D models follow on the drafting turnaround. Rates are the published ones and the quote is fixed.
Planning the visit
Send an address and an approximate square footage and a fixed quote comes back within one business day. If exterior elevations are in scope, say so at booking so the exterior scan positions are planned in.
