Travel to New Jersey adds $100 to $250 by distance, set in the fixed quote. Two or three properties in the same town on the same day share it. Price your own building.

The example above is a real house: a two story residential renovation in Red Bank, one of three Monmouth County properties captured in one week for the same architect. The lines are the design set, which is what most renovations start from: the capture package, CAD floor plans, a plotted drawing set, and exterior elevations. Every figure comes from the published rate card, and the total is what the calculator returns for the same inputs. What a set of existing conditions drawings is, beyond the price, is covered in the guide.

What is in the number

The site visit pays for the day: travel inside the five boroughs, setup, and the time on site. It steps up once for large buildings, where the visit takes longer. Every project has one.

The capture is priced per square foot and is in every project. It produces the measurable 3D walkthrough, the ANSI Z765-2021 floor plans as PDF, the DWG export, the room and opening report, and 360 imagery at every scan position. If all you need is a measured plan and a walkthrough, this plus the site visit is the whole price. That is the basic package.

The registered point cloud is included at no charge, because it is the raw output of the scan and costs nothing extra to hand over.

The drafted deliverables are each priced per square foot and ordered one at a time. CAD floor plans at LOD 200 with AIA standard layers, the plotted set, exterior elevations, reflected ceiling plans, a roof plan, and a 3D model in Revit or DWG. An architect who drafts their own base from the DWG export can skip all of them.

What changes the number in New Jersey

Travel. New Jersey is outside the five boroughs, so travel is added to the fixed quote by distance, inside a published band. The band is on the pricing page. Two or three properties in the same town on the same day share one travel charge, which is why the three Red Bank and Middletown houses were batched into one week.

Square footage. Every deliverable is priced per square foot, so a 1,500 square foot cape and a 4,000 square foot colonial are different numbers for the same set. Below the minimum project size the price is the minimum, because the drive and the setup cost the same either way.

Elevations. Additions and second story work in New Jersey almost always need measured exterior elevations, so they are in the example. Interior only work can leave them out.

Shore houses. Raise and rebuild work in flood zones needs documented existing floor and ceiling elevations. The scan records them as part of the capture, at no extra line. The elevation certificate itself is a licensed surveyor’s document, not part of this.

What does not change it

The quote is fixed before the visit and it is what gets invoiced, unless you add deliverables afterwards. Revisions are included. A return visit caused by capture conditions, such as tree cover blocking a clean exterior, is not billed. The large Red Bank house needed one for a garage side elevation, and it was included.

How this compares

Most scanning firms in the region quote by project and publish nothing. That makes comparison hard until you have three quotes in hand. The rate card here is published so you can price a building before you talk to anyone, and so the number you see is the number you pay.
